How to Start the Game

How to Play
Moving

You can move one square at a time or multiple squares quickly.

When moving perpendicular to centipedes, it’s safer to move one square at a time to avoid sudden collisions.

When moving parallel to centipedes, you can move faster across multiple squares.

The playing field is 6 squares wide and 5 squares tall, meaning it’s slightly easier to dodge centipedes coming from the top or bottom than from the sides.
Collecting Gems

Collect crystal gems to score points.

Each gem is worth one point.

Gems can be white, purple, or ruby colored.

Gems appear briefly and disappear quickly, so prioritize collecting nearby gems that have just spawned.

Avoid Homeworld gems (marked by a red glow), as collecting them will subtract one point from your total.

If you must choose between getting hit or picking up a Homeworld gem, it’s safer to grab the Homeworld gem.
Avoiding Death

Do not get hit by a centipede! One hit and the game is over.

A red line will appear showing the row or column a centipede will travel through. Stay away from those lanes until the centipede passes.

Centipedes may travel straight across the board or partially across before turning back.

The game starts with one centipede per round but increases difficulty with multiple centipedes appearing at once as you progress.

Centipedes in each round move in the same direction (horizontally or vertically) but their direction changes over time.

As you advance, you’ll have fewer safe spots to move and more ways to get hit, making the game increasingly challenging.
Power-Ups

Collect the ruby red gem with a spinning glow to gain a protective shield.

This shield acts like an extra life, protecting you from one hit.

Only one shield can be active at a time. If you are hit while shielded, you can collect another to recharge your protection.
