Description
Hangman is a classic word-guessing game that challenges players to find a hidden word by guessing letters one at a time. It is a fun and educational game that helps improve vocabulary and spelling skills. The game can be played alone or with friends and is often enjoyed in classrooms, online, or as a paper-and-pencil game.
How to play
- Guessing Letters: The guessing player tries to figure out the word by suggesting one letter at a time.
- Correct Guesses: If the guessed letter is in the word, it is revealed in the appropriate blank spaces.
- Incorrect Guesses: If the guessed letter is not in the word, a part of the hangman figure is drawn. The number of incorrect guesses allowed before losing the game varies but usually ranges from 6 to 10 attempts.
- Winning the Game: The player wins if they successfully guess all the letters of the word before the hangman figure is fully drawn.
- Losing the Game: If the player makes too many incorrect guesses and the full hangman figure is drawn, they lose the game.
- Optional Hints: Some versions of the game allow players to receive hints, such as category clues (e.g., “This is an animal”).
